Posting additional quantities to a Quant.

  1. Enter the required quantity in the Inward Quantity field.
  2. (Optional): Select the Balancing Mode.
  3. (Optional): Select a Movement Reason for the transaction.
  4. (Optional): Enter a Comment regarding the posting.
  5. Click on Post Inward Movement to execute the transaction.

 

The outward posting follows the same procedure as the inward posting. With the difference that the corresponding quantity is debited from the quant.

Outward Quantity - Quantity to be debited from the quant.

 

Post quantities from a quant.

  1. Enter the quantity that you want to debit in the Outward Quantity field.
  2. (Optional): Select the Balancing Mode.
  3. (Optional): Select the Movement Reason for the transaction.
  4. Click Post Inward Movement to execute the transaction.

 

When a relocation posting takes place, the system posts an inward posting to the storage bin specified under Storage Bin (Inward Posting) after the stock has been cleared from the current quant.

Storage Bin (Inward Posting) - Storage bin to which the specified batch is to be transferred.

 

Execute Stock Transfer Posting:

  1. Enter the quantity you want to transfer in the Outward Quantity field.
  2. Select the Storage Bin (Inward Posting) to which the material will be posted.
  3. (Optional): Select the Balancing Mode.
  4. (Optional): Select a Posting Reason for the transaction.
  5. Click on Post Stock Transfer to execute the transaction.

  • Lock - Locks the quant. Postings with the locked quant are not possible. Posting with the quant is only possible again after unlocking.
  • Lock Absolute - Locks the quant absolutely. Use is no longer possible. The quant is then no longer recorded in the planning run. Abslolute blocking is intended for cases in which disposal of the batch is planned (for example, after contamination, damage, and so on).
  • Unlock - Unlocks the selected quant again for posting.

 

The availability state is changed from available to unavailable when the inventory changes to zero. Once the posting is received in the bin, the status changes to available.

Charge Not Available - Sets the quant to Not Available.
Charge Available - Sets the quant to available.


 

You can use Material Reassignment to repost quants to another material.

  • Material (Inward Posting) - New material.
  • Bill of Materials (Inward Posting) - BOM of the new material.

 

Reassign Material:

  1. Select the Material (Inward Posting) to be reassigned.
  2. Select the Bill of Materials (Inward Posting) of the material.
  3. Click on Reassign Material to execute the transaction for the reassignment.
