[BSOVisualisationStudio] Visualisation (end user guide)

The quickest way to interact with an object in the visualization is the context menu. The context menu is structured hierarchically and is subject to the right system. Commands that are locked for the user by the group management are hidden in the context menu. Commands that are not allowed according to the object state are also hidden. Commands usually belong to a category and are therefore often found as a submenu item. The following green categories are generally released for each user and the blue highlighted need higher privileges:

  • Process.Commands - Here are various commands that influence the current process. A typical example would be the operating mode in which you can switch between manual, automatic and maintenance mode..
  • Production, Planning & Logistics - If an object is currently connected to any business processes, the corresponding business process can be viewed in which the appropriate business object is opened.
  • Tools - various tools and diagnostic tools that require higher privileges
    • Bild:
      • Copy screenshoot to clipboard - copy current visualisation in clipboard as image
      • Screenshoot - creates a image of current visualisation and save it in database, with this command you create images for  carousel visual views
    • Components Explorer - opens the selected component in Components-Explorer, to be able to read the network enabled properties and to diagnose the state of an object.
    • Show component* in Variobatch studio - opens the selected component in the development environment
    • Show component* in Diagnostic dialog - shows the selected component in the  Diagnostic-dialog, to be able to read all properties and local fields and to diagnose the state of an object.
    • Print
    • Designmode on - turns on the designer tool
    • Designmode off - turns off the designer tool
  • Workflow dialog - view the current Workflow
  • Control dialog- open the control dialog for the selected component.
  • Help - opens the Documentation for the current object in the browser

If control modules (valves, motors, flaps,...) are put into manual operation, then they are not controlled by the automatic system and have to be switched on and off manually. The same also applies to process modules (scales, containers, machines on which process functions can be executed). If they are set to manual mode, they cannot be occupied by the active workflows or by a workflow group. The operating mode can be switched either by context menu or control dialog. The current mode can be recognized either by the yellow frame around the object or the symbols:

Automatic mode

Manual mode

Maintenance mode
